Bardsey Island Apple Year:2 YR Flesh sweet and astringentA multipurpose Welsh apple that can be used for eating, cooking, juicing and cider. Medium sized round conical with a unique lemon aroma, yellow with red orange flush. Pleasing and juicy to eat when fresh, but also good for cooking, juicing and cider. A very attractive garden variety with light pink blossom that's also very hardy. Found near the remains of the thirteenth century abbey on Bardsey Island by ornithologist Andrew Clarke, who took them to
